We all love TDE don’t we? (My personal favourite is ScHoolBoy Q) they rap pretty decently (Nah for real they rap HARD!) and have you noticed they tend to do their hooks right but have you noticed sometimes there’s this super sooth crooner who holds it down like he’s at the Grammy’s and his momma is watching at home? That guy is JMSN an Albanian-American singer who dabbles in hip-hop, R&B and a little pop. (Pronounced Jameson). We all love Justin Timberlake right? Well if you don’t like JT, as much because he’s too commercial and you need a replacement well JMSN is the closest thing you’ll get. He can dance, his singing is UNbelieveable! And he’s got that white dude swag oozing out of him. Now he really sounds like Justin but don’t let the success make you say Justin is better it’s about the culture with us and my oh my does this guy UNlock it.
Having released his first LP in 2012 “†Priscilla†” he’s since amassed a huge core following around the USA with songs like “Alone” and the heavy MJ influenced “Do U Remember The Time”. He explores simple topics like love (Read between the lines) in such an abstract manner and the visuals to most of his songs can verify that. What will impress you even more apart from the god-crafted voice is that he makes his own music from programming the drums to playing the instruments! (I cried as I typed that because my girl told me I need to learn the guitar like him or she’s out :/). Apparently he was meant to have released a co-op album with Ab-Soul and this seemed very likely when we got the first release titled “You’re Gone” but since then it’s been a myth like this Kendrick album we’ve been waiting on. However he’s since made up for that with his EPs “Live at Red Bull Studios EP”, “Love & Pain EP” & “†Pllaj놔 and even a new album “The Blue Album” released in December. He’s featured on some of your favorite tracks like “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst” & W.R.O.H. As time goes by, he’s only going to get better, This guy has the ability to make your girl drop bands and although he hasn’t reached the level of success like his R&B allies such as The Weeknd and Usher, who even gave him a cosign, he competes with these guys heavily talent-wise and when you’re at his ram-packed show in your city, remember this post and how it taught you to keep your girl on a leash.
